Fulfill the Plan and Purpose the Lord God Almighty Has For YOU

I believe this is going to be a series for a little while, so bear with me. I am finding so much about “Potential” that is so exciting!!  A week or so ago, when I woke up with that word in my head, I had no idea the POTENTIAL I was opening up!! 

This is the part of the dream I recall: a nice vase broke. It was a glass vase and had some little marbles in it. I needed to pick up all the pieces and the marbles because just because it was broken, it still had potential. 

That morning I had a really hard time waking up and kept going back into dreams about potential. Ever since then, that word/topic has been on my mind!! 

It has even propelled me to get someone to help me improve my website and get my business a proper LLC!! I realized that I believed a lie about my own potential. In my quiet time, I dealt with some lies and beliefs that kept me from believing that I could possibly be successful in my business. Therefore, my website was “good enough” and I could run my business without calling it an actual business. 

No. If I want to be better I need to do better. 

As I was preparing to write this blog post, I listened to this YouTube video from Steve Harvey. I have listened to a few of his motivational talks before so I know that he came up from nothing. He stuck to what he knew he could do and has done it! Check out this one about fleas and potential. 

“We have become his poetry, a re-created people that will fulfill the destiny he has given each of us, for we are joined to Jesus, the Anointed One. Even before we were born, God planned in advance our destiny and the good works we would do to fulfill it!”Ephesians 2:10 TPT

I have declared this verse for my kids because I want them to fulfill the plan and purpose the Lord God Almighty has for them.  When we would do Bible time in our homeschool, that was part of my prayer. I pray it over them when I pray for them in my own quiet time. Though some of them are not walking with God right now, I continue to pray this for them, because God STILL has a plan and a destiny in mind for them. They will fulfill it.

“For I know the plans I have for you” — this is the Lord’s declaration — “plans for your welfare, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11 HCSB

Many of us know this verse. Its on all sorts of cutesy decor and t-shirts. But do we really believe that God has a plan for us? Do we really understand that God has a future and a hope for us? 

We like to believe we do. 

But then we settle for less. 

My Journey to My Potential

I have declared this verse over and over and then something, holds me back. I make a poor choice or settle for not saying something that needs to be said. Self-Sabotage is a thing and I could be really good at it. 

But then I started digging into the lies that I believed that kept me in those patterns. I have prayed with lots of people now who have also believed lies. And we all are beginning to fulfill the plan and purpose the Lord God Almighty has for us! 

For me, one of the biggest lies I believed was that I was worthless. Let me tell you, that lie kept me down for a very long time. But no longer. I removed the emotions and dealt with the memories that kept me there. 

I now believe that I am worth it. Because God says I am worth it! 

The beautiful thing is that I can help you now too!! 

Let’s do this! Let’s deal with the lies that are keeping you down!!
