Countdown to Christmas: Day 5. Sadness

Countdown to Christmas: Day 5. Sadness

5 days left. Countdown to Christmas Day 5 kinda makes me a little sad. I almost enjoy the anticipation of Christmas more than the actual celebration.

Its so much fun to make the plans talk about the presents, buy the presents, and listen to Christmas music and watch the movies!!

No. I don’t do the Hallmark movies. Too cheesy- even for me.

Countdown to Christmas Day 5
Today’s topic: sadness

Let’s talk about sadness at Christmas. This isn’t depression, this is just plain old feeling sad. There are lots of reasons why someone would feel sad at Christmas, so what can we do to help that?

First of all, acknowledge that you are sad. Experience the feeling. Let it come up and then ask yourself some questions.

Why am I sad? What do I need to do to let go of this sadness? How can I honor this feeling and also be able to move on?

Asking yourself some clarifying questions can help you understand why you are feeling the way you do and help you release that sadness. That may be all you need to do. If not, you can message me and I can help you get to the root of the issue.

It may take some time to work through it but allow yourself the space to do that. Recognize that the holidays bring back lots of memories, good bad and ugly and that alone can make us sad. We don’t have to stay stuck there though.

Countdown to Christmas: Changing our Brains!

Here is where we can make new pathways in our brains and literally change our thinking. Dr. Caroline Leaf’s “Clean Up the Mental Mess” podcast, can be a helpful tool for you as you learn to recreate those pathways. It’s important to realize that emotions and thoughts are actually real things in the brain, made up of structures, chemicals and cells, that can be studied and viewed. You can create good healthy structures by taking control of your thoughts, or you can allow negative thoughts and patterns to create negative, unhealthy structures.

The Bible confirms the science when we read passages like:

“For, although we are in the flesh, we do not battle according to the flesh, for the weapons of our battle are not of flesh but are enormously powerful, capable of destroying fortresses. We destroy arguments and every pretension raising itself against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive in obedience to Christ,” 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 NABRE

“For God will never give you the spirit of fear, but the Holy Spirit who gives you mighty power, love, and self-control.” 2 Timothy 1:7 TPT

“For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he will instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ.” 1 Corinthians 2:16 NASB1995

According to Dr. Caroline Leaf, taking just 15 min a day of focused thought can help gain control of out of control thoughts and emotions. Quieting the brain and redirecting thoughts from the negative to the positive can do wonders for our thought life and emotions.

In the Body Code Modality that I use, I muscle test, and this you can do yourself, asking the subconscious about the sadness. I ask using my chart of emotions if there are any other emotions connected with that overwhelming sadness and I clear them out. When I have cleared all the emotions and thoughts connected to that sadness, I then can clear the sadness as well. Most people notice a change almost immediately. It takes just a few minutes.

Using the 2 in combination can literally be life changing for you and your children because you are changing your brain all the way down to the DNA level. Its crazy to me, but it is science!

Let’s change your family tree this Christmas!!
